About Dr. Castillo

Dr. Castillo obtained his doctoral degree from the prestigious “Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies” at The University of Texas at Austin.  He became faculty of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the same institution where he taught a wide array of courses from Spanish to Latin American Art, History and Culture.  Dr. Castillo has participated in international cultural events and in numerous simultaneous interpretations and translations within his community.

After years of teaching at the college level, Dr. Castillo encountered many students who were natural Spanish speakers or who excelled in their high school courses. For them, much of the coursework was merely a review.

With minimal instruction, these students could have passed the CLEP Spanish Language exam and earned valuable credits towards their degree. So Dr. Castillo founded Spanish CLEP to help.

After more than 10 years experience teaching CLEP exam preparation, Dr. Castillo has helped students of all skill levels pass the CLEP Spanish Language exam.
